Some Random Thinking

You know what I like? I like stuff that most people would frown upon. I like the weird, whacky, freak-ish, unique things. Like I like weird names. All the characters in the stories I write, at least the main characters, have weird names. Names that I made up. I love the rock and roll kind of clothes. The leggings and boots and ripped and cut clothes, those are awesome. I don’t like makeup, I don’t like fashion. I would rather go to a concert than go to the beach. I like to stand out, and I’m not afraid to take lead. People are scared to be a leader; I’m not. I’ll do it. I can’t talk in front of crowds, but I can lead them if it comes to it. My goal in life is to be a musician; not a doctor, not a therapist, not a lawyer, a musician. I’m working on being proud of it, but I still have a hard time admitting it. I love writing, and I love to sit with my headphones in and write my heart out. My passion is being different.

My opinion is don’t do something in life if you don’t enjoy it. Don’t commit your life to something you don’t want to do. You’re only here once, so make it worth it. I don’t believe in having to do something you don’t want to do your entire life. I understand there will always be things you have to do that you don’t want to, but those should all be minor things that are part of the thing you love to do most. If you want to flip burgers, then do so. If you want to make music, then make music. If your parents want you to be something you don’t want to be, then don’t do it. Its your life and your dreams, follow them. Its all about the experience. Think about it; when you die, you don’t take your possessions, your fame, your reputation with you. You take your memories, your happiness, your love. Life isn’t about obtaining as many things as you can, or having the best reputation in the world. It’s about being who you are and loving every moment of your life. Yes, these things can bring you happiness, but is it really true happiness? Do you feel pure joy and happiness when you play Angry Birds? Are you really happy when people love you because you’re famous? Do you really love that giant house with all those expensive items in them? High school teaches you how to be responsible and determined enough to make your dream to come to life, I believe. If you can survive all the assignments, all the stress, all the expectations, then you can do anything. Nothing in life comes easy; there’s a lot of work and dedication and motivation needed to achieve anything that’s extremely important to you. But humans are beautiful creations; they have such amazing potential. If only we could realize what we were really capable of, then we could thrive. Thrive on our dreams and goals.
